A Face I Can’t Recall

A face I can’t
Recall
Urges me to
Remember
Our meeting in the
Sky
Reflections in the
pool
Images at dusk
A shadow less
Noon
A beached
Whale

A bird that no longer
Flies
The grass opening
Into a path
Leading to a temple
Of neglect
The mind slipping
Into a forgotten past
Still a face
I can’t recall
Stirs more memories
Like a Rainbow, stretching
Across a darkened sky.

Baru Goriba writes, "Poetry lover and aspirant to become a wordsmith. Believes that in the loneliness of dreams starts a journey of many a poet."
