A New Sun for America

A new sun had risen;

Now, above his beloved nation, he floated.

Morning, a crimson fire,

Illuminated the tunnel of the tearful wailers.

At sea, ships could see their ways,

But still to sail for many days;

The oceans unfolded their waterways

As they gleamed in turquoise joy.

A young sun had risen

To lead Red, Blue and White to her port.
