When I Miss You

When I miss you
On this desert beach
I call your name
And I beg waves
So that they can
Carry my voice to you.

When I miss you
I want to be a bird
I want to be a breath
So that I can
Cross this immense ocean
And touch your hands.

When I miss you
I feel my soul
Wants to fly towards
This remote horizon
So that it can tell
How much I love you.

When I miss you
I take your photo
In my hands
And I talk to you
As you are next to me.

When I miss you
I write a poem
In which I engrave
The story of this man
Who dreams to be
Rewarded by your love.
