Memories are what we share
you and I,
as these days go by,
we stand on the threshold
of love and life,
each day getting close
to freedom and faith,
and I stand on this precipice
holding my breath
and letting go my dreams
into an endless valley
unknown to me
I know you'll watch me
this day and beyond
and see what I've become,
and ah, at last this wait shall end
we will be together again
and finally
I shall begin to love life again
